Welcome to Steph's Fundraising Page
**Update March 21** I've been completely floored by the responses that I've received for this event. I thought it would be really difficult to raise the 1500 required by the swim date because I've never done this type of fundraising. But through the amazing support of my family, friends and coworkers, I was able to raise the amount in just 11 days. I can't even express how thankful I am. But this is a great cause, so now i'm upping my donation goal amount, so please think about donating :) I should also mention that my best friend Eunece Woodfine will be my kayaking companion for this epic adventure. She has been crazy supportive and has also helped with my fundraising. She will be an amazing support system for this event and we can't wait for this experience!
I’ve always loved the water and anyone who knows me says that I must be part fish. I found out about GiveToLive’s The Big Swim last year and ever since I have not been able to get it off my mind. The thought of swimming over 15 Kms from one province to another sounds crazy to most people, but to me sounds like an epic adventure. So on August 18th I will be joining 49 other swimmers to cross the Northumberland Strait from New Brunswick to PEI in support of a very good cause. Apart from being an epic adventure, this is also a fundraising event in support of Brigadoon Village which is a non-profit, state of the art recreational facility located in NS. Brigadoon Village passionately transforms the lives of Atlantic Canadian children and youth living with health conditions and other life challenges to help them reach their full potential through experiential learning, meaningful connections and exceptional fun.
Please considering donating to this wonderful cause and to show your support for this amazing adventure.
For more information on these two organizations please got to Givetolive.ca and brigadoonvillage.org.
Thank you all for your support!
Stephanie Holmes :)
